Help Build the Future of Aztalan State Park
Dear Friend of Aztalan State Park
Several years ago, the Friends of Aztalan State Park envisioned a comprehensive visitor center encompassing exhibit space, a classroom, essential park offices, bathrooms, and a gift shop, with an estimated cost of $1,000,000. We have received close to $400,000 in donations so far. Regrettably, unforeseen surges in construction costs have rendered this vision temporarily unattainable. Undeterred, we have continued to seek contributions from the public to achieve this goal. Also, we will be reaching out to potential large grant donors.
Significant donations and matches were made in 2024 to bring us very close to starting the final design and ultimately construction phases. To help bring us to our final goal we have announced a new donation campaign to raised the needed funds for the project.
Here is how this fund raiser will work to make your donation go further towards the goal of building the Vistor’s Center.
- $10 donation: $100 bonus will be donated by Bob towards the building fund
- $25 donation: $250 bonus will be donated by Bob towards the building fund.
- $50 donation: $500 bonus will be donated by Bob towards the building fund.
- $100 donation: $1,000 bonus will be donated towards the building fund.
Donate now before December 31st to help create a welcoming, informative space for visitors to learn about Aztalan’s rich history and cultural significance.

Donate to the Building Fund
The building fund will help to construct our new visitor center and improve the overall visitor experience, including a permanent Interpretive Center with exhibit space and real restrooms. Check out our becuatiful architectural plans and images.
Meanwhile, the endowment fund will provide a stable source of income for the park, supporting ongoing maintenance and operations and future projects and programs. This will ensure that Aztalan State Park can continue to grow and evolve while remaining a vital resource for education, recreation, and conservation.
